Amida Lewis, with Description of a New Species (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) from China

Guoyue Yu (2000) Six species of Amida Lewis from China are defined, of which one is described as new to science: A. decemmaculata, sp. n.; one as a new record for China: A. quinquefaciata Hoàng; and two are new combinations, and one new name is suppressed as a synonym: A. jinghongiensis (Pang and Mao), comb. nov., and A. nigropectoralis (Pang and Mao), comb. nov., both transferred from the genus Ortalia Mulsant; A. platyceps Hoàng is the synonym of A. jinghongiensis (Pang and Mao). We supply also a diagnosis of the genus and a key to the 6 species known from China.
