Ivan Löbl (2012) The rove beetle subfamily Scaphidiinae of Taiwan is still inadequately studied. The present paper provides a review of Taiwanese members of Baeocera Erichson, which is one of the more species-rich genera of this group. While only 5 species were previously reported from Taiwan, 15 species are recognized at present: B. alesi sp. nov., B. aliena sp. nov., B. alishana sp. nov., B. anchorifera sp. nov., B. lindae sp. nov., and B. mutata sp. nov. are described as new and illustrated. Baeocera caliginosa, B. cooteri, B. longicornis, and B. takizawai are reported for the 1st time from Taiwan. A key to the Taiwanese species of Baeocera is provided.

Key words: Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Scaphidiinae, Baeocera, Taiwan.
