A Unique New Crab Genus Described from China

A new genus and two new species of freshwater crabs of the family Potamidae are described from Yunnan, southwestern China. Species of this new genus have a distinctive gonopodal morphology that is not seen in any other genera of the family. Studies like this highlight the need for more taxonomic surveys to be carried out in this biologically diverse region.
