New Records of Sand Crabs from the Western Pacific with Description of Two New Species of Paralbunea

Sand crabs are some of the least commonly collected anomuran crustaceans due to their preferred sandy bottom habitats. In this paper, two new species of the sand crab genus Paralbunea Serène, 1977 are described, the genus previously only contained 5 species, and a key to all 7 species is given. These new species were collected from the Philippines and Taiwan. In addition, new western Pacific locality records are provided for two species of spiny sand crabs (Blepharipodidae) and six species of sand crabs (Albuneidae).
