Tanzania's Udzungwa Mts. Hide New Tardigrade Species

Central Africa is a terra incognita regarding tardigrade biodiversity surveys. Thanks to the collaboration between the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and Jagiellonian University (Poland), new tardigrade species are constantly being described from one of the most speciose areas of Tanzania, the Udzungwa Mountains. In this paper, a peculiar representative of the largest tardigrade genus Echiniscus (>100 species), Echiniscus tantulus, is depicted.
